John O. Postl
John O. Postl has been in practice for over fifteen years in a variety of settings including solo practice, law firms and as in house counsel. Mr. Postl graduated from Suffolk University Law School in Boston, MA with honors in 1994. He is admitted in Massachusetts and New York and the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts and the Eastern District of New York. He is also admitted to the United States Supreme Court.
Mr. Postl is an active member of the Massachusetts Bar Association where he volunteers as a judge in the Association's high school mock trial competition. He is also active in the Boston Bar Association where he volunteers as a pre trial case conferencer at the Boston Municipal Court. Mr. Postl is also a member of the Boston chapter of the American Inns of Court.
Mr. Postl's non-legal volunteer activities include the Civil Air Patrol, which is the civilian auxiliary of the United States Air Force. Mr. Postl holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and holds a senior pilot rating. He is currently assigned to CAP’s National Headquarters as the Senior Assistant National Legal Officer. Mr. Postl also volunteers his time at the Quincy Animal Shelter. Mr. Postl is an FAA certified flight instructor and is currently learning to fly aerobatics.
Elisa A. Filman

Elisa A. Filman joined John Postl, P.C. in August 2010. Ms. Filman is a graduate of Suffolk University Law School and was admitted to the Massachusetts bar in 2011. During law school, her team won the award for Best Brief in the Florida Bar Tax Moot Court Competition in 2009, and in her first year of law school, she won the award for Best Oral Advocate in her legal practice skills section. Prior to joining John Postl, P.C., Ms. Filman was a Certified Student Attorney in the Suffolk Law Family Advocacy Clinic where she represented indigent clients in contested family law disputes before the Suffolk County Probate and Family Court. Ms. Filman also interned for the Suffolk County D.A.’s office, the Executive Office of Public Safety for the Commonwealth, and the Small Business Administration in Washington, D.C. She is an active member of the Massachusetts LGBTQ Bar Association. Ms. Filman received a Bachelor’s degree in History from Scripps College in Claremont, CA in 2005. She was born and raised in Menlo Park, CA.
Kay Bethel
Client Relations/ Business Development.
Kay has been involved in the collections industry since 2002 in a variety of settings including agencies and law firms. She is experienced in all aspects of operations including commercial collections, forwarding and operations management. Her marketing experience includes new business development and client relationship management. Kay is an active member of the IACC where she serves on the PR/Advertising committee. She is a frequent presenter for the IACC as well as the CLLA.
